2
bedroom cottage with option for 3rd in basement. 2 bedroom cottage bunkie
with 3 piece bath. Fully renovated. Great location on Dwight Beach on
Lake of Bays. Western exposure, fantastic cottage sunsets. The master
bedroom has a picture window looking westerly over the lake with clear
post-card view of the amzing sunsets. Sand walk-out beach and new dock,
with easy 14 stair access to the dock and lake (not a cliff like some).
Location is sand bottom and great for swiming and water-sport activites.
Close to boat launch. Close to snowmobile trail (but not too close,
sound obstructed). From the dock you have access to Langmaid's Island
Beach, the jumping cliffs in Dorset (upto 60ft.), the Town of Dorset,
the Town of Baysville, Bigwin Island Golf Club, Dwight Beach, great
fishing, epic sailing, abundant loons, sand-bar football or frizbee
at Rugel's Bay, dead calm waterskiing in Rat Bay, and multiple celebrity
owned mega-cottages to oggle. Algonquin Park is a hop-skip up scenic
Hwy #60. Algonquin Park boasts multiple hiking, biking and skiing trails,
summer camps, canoe routes, campsites, and park museum. Moose watching
in the park is epic in the mornings and evenings of bug-season. The
Oxtongue River flows (from the park) into Lake of Bays and drains just
around the corner from the cottage, with easy boat or paddle access
to one of Canada's prettiest wet-land river routes leading to a water-fall
with brilliant natural hot-tub swimming holes. Wildlife abundant througout
with constant supply of deer, raccoons, loons, ducks, geese, and periodically
even the odd moose. Lake of Bays boasts some of Muskoka's best fishing,
to find better fishing you need to become a local and pester the town-folk
at the coffee-shop for routes to smaller more remote uninhabited lakes
in the area. The area is epic for hiking, biking, ATV, snowmobile, and
4X4, with no shortage of trails to be found around the border of Algonquin
Park. The cottage itself is surrounded by old-growth white pine and
red pine with some trees towering up to 120 ft. and with-in the immediate
forest to have bases as large as 12 feet in circumference. If you want
to get onto Lake of Bays then this cottage is worth a hard-look. Lake
of Bays, Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. $639,900. |
